If you are a Bountiful resident and are leaving your home for an extended period of time over, minimum of 7 days, you may request vacation checks on your home.  When you complete and submit the vacation check form, the Bountiful City Police will periodically check your house and have your contact information stored in case of an emergency. Since this is only one way to help with safety, make sure you take other necessary steps to secure your home and belongings when planning to be away from your home.

A few tips are to stop the mail and paper, or have a neighbor pick them up each day. Also, have someone pick up any literature that may be left on your door.
